Assalamualaikum and Salam Sejahtera.

After doing some research, i decided to use serve motor for my project even the price too expensive compare to stepper and DC motor. I preferred to use serve motor because it can be rotate on precise angular control, or for continuous rotation (the latter requires modification). That is mean it is very suitable with this project which need a faster movement to follow the motion that will be detected by the sensor. Although more powerful servos are available, the practical weight limit for moving the robot is about 10 pounds. so it can accommodate the weight of the camera. Besides, it is also available in several standard sizes, with standard mounting holes to attach with the camera.

I have a few reasons for why not to use the DC motor. Amongst the reasons are because it has poor standards in sizing and mounting arrangements. So it take more time for me to complete my hardware and the coding to apply into the Arduino. Then, it also requires gear reduction to provide torques needed for most robotic applications. So, it can make the project becomes more complicated.

For stepper motor, I do not prefer to use it because it has poor performance under varying loads and it is not good for robot locomotion over uneven surfaces.Besides, It also consumes high current to operate.
